What types of academic support services are offered?
- Tutoring
- One-on-one, group, and review sessions
- Trained tutors, available Monday through Thursday
- GE 101 Strategies For Academic Success course
- Free to TRIO SSS students
- Includes strategies to improve test taking, time management, reading comprehension, research skills, career choices and other helpful topics
- Offered in both the Spring and Fall semesters on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM
- Fall classes are taught by Diane Garrard

- The SSS Transfer Specialist will assist students who plan to transfer to a four-year university.
- Transfer trips are sponsored to the colleges throughout each semester.
What types of financial support services are offered?
Each year SSS provides a number of scholarships to the students who are participants of the SSS program.
Qualifications include:
- Receiving a Pell Grant
- Being an active participant of the SSS program for one semester
- Good academic progress
- Having a federally defined unmet financial need
- Pursuing first Associate degree
What types of major and career support services are offered?
SSS counselors assist students who are undecided about their major or need help finding a four-year college offering their program.
SSS Students receive free tickets each semester to the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts.
