Gadfly Guidelines

We are looking for the following:

• Short stories
• Poetry
• Essays
• Sketches and / or graphic art

We (usually) do not accept:

• Graphic violence
• Obvious pornography (in the opinion of the editors)

A thank you and a chance to see your work in print

Rights

We claim first North American rights and one-time electronic rights in case we use it as an example on the Gadfly Web Page. All rights revert back to the author after publication.

Sending Your Work

We are currently only accepting submissions via regular mail. The publication is currently opened to Madisonville Community College students and members of the community. Please follow these general guidelines when submitting your work.

• Send your work via regular snail mail. Please address submissions to:

• You may submit one fiction piece or one essay at a time. (Please type and double space your work.) You can also submit up to 5 poems at a time.
• Include your full name, a phone number where you can be reached, a complete address, and an email address if you have one.
• We are happy to consider previously published works, but you must notify us if this is the case, so we can give proper credit.
• The due date for the next issue of the Gadfly is March 1, 2007.
