KCTCS Hosts Transfer Fair at MCC April 2
MADISONVILLE, Ky.--The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) will host a Transfer Fair at Madisonville Community College on Wednesday, April 2. The fair will be held at the MCC North Campus Student Center from 12 noon-2:30 p.m.
The Transfer Fair, sponsored by the Kentucky Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO), offers MCC students opportunities for first-hand information from representatives of four-year colleges and universities, who will be ready to show them:
- How to transfer academic credits from MCC to a four-year institution;
- How and where to apply for financial aid;
- The majors offered at four-year Kentucky institutions and elsewhere, and;
- What campus life is like at many four-year institutions.
Colleges and universities attending the transfer fair will be: University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Kentucky State University, Murray State University—Madisonville Regional Campus, Western Kentucky University, Eastern Kentucky University, Northern Kentucky University, Lindsey Wilson College, Campbellsville University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Thomas More College, Metropolitan College, and Mid-Continent University.
Research shows graduates of Kentucky’s community and technical colleges fare as well as or better academically at four-year institutions than their counterparts who enter four-year institutions as freshmen.
For more information about the MCC Transfer Fair, contact Aimee Bullock, MCC Director of Enrollment Management, at (270) 824-8696 or via email aimee.bullock@kctcs.edu.
