ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE

Information Technology--
Electronic Commerce Option

The Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) option provides students with training in designing, deploying, and managing an Internet e-commerce site.  Areas to be studied include, but are not limited to, business concepts, how to develop an effective marketing plan, the basics of accounting principles, and how to design a functional and attractive e-commerce web site.  A capstone class in web site implementation will encompass all facets of the program of study and will provide experience and a job portfolio.

Students entering this program will need to have basic computer skills such as would be obtained through the CIS 100 course (Introduction to Computers) or equivalent.

Electronic Commerce and A+ Certification certificates are also available within the IT program.  Please see Network Administration Option details on the Network Administration Option page.
