Welcome to the Green Turtle Bay Pier Six Web Page. The purpose of this page is to allow boaters who moor their boats on Pier Six, as well as the general public, a means of keeping in touch with what is happening on our pier, and with individuals who make up this very special group.  We will try to keep you posted on pier activities, share pictures and in general be a place on the web that reflects the best in boating fun. If you have pictures or information you would like to share, just send them along to webmaster Bob Simmons at  bob.simmons @kctcs.edu

Good Morning Everyone,

Well it is so nice this morning to have cooler weather...really enjoyed my coffee on the porch this morning
and hopefully it will continue.  Would be so nice to have cooler weather for the upcoming Holiday weekend.

Good to see all that was on the pier this weekend.  Look forward to spending a long and fun weekend with everyone.

Do not forget the Fish Fry this coming Friday night on the pier.  The time is 6 PM..fish and hush puppies will be provided...just bring a side dish to go with that and come to have a wonderful time.  Let Bob & Faye know
if you can make it, if you have not already....hoping for a BIG group!!

Saturday night will be the fireworks at KDM and  Sunday at Eddy Creek.

Pier Six sends our love, prayers and thoughts out to Dale & Carol Tumey this morning.  Dale's sister,
Linda Holz, passed away this week. Please keep them in your thoughts and for those who would like to send cards etc, their address is on the pier list.

Everyone have a great week..for some it will be a nice short one..see ya Friday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. KIM

The hardy few who made it through the rainy weekend until Sunday afternoon helped Dr. Kim celebrate (?) birthday aboard "Station 10" on Pier Six with ice cream cake. This was after biscuits, gravy, pancakes and fruit for breakfast.

YES, it's our "Little Red Haired Girl".   A couple of years ago we pictured on the Pier Six web site the older daughter of Paul and Kamille Stich, Olivia. Olivia was modeling band uniforms in a national catalog. Now it's younger daughter Sailor.  This is the front cover of Evansville Living's May/June 2009 issue. Sailor was photographed at the Evansville Zoo for an article on how volatile the weather is in these parts. What a great picture. Congratulations Sailor from all your "fans" on Pier Six.

Vicki Sager passed away April 21st.  Mike and Vicki were on pier six for a few years and then moved to Daphne, Alabama where they lived for the pass five years and loved it so much. We enjoyed Mike & Vicki and they became a part of the pier six family.  We have stayed in contact with them over the years.  Vicki was a very talented artist, but most of all she had such a sweet kind spirit. Knowing how much Mike loved his soul mate, we know how very hard this will be for him...please remember him and their family in your thoughts and prayers and may the love and support of his family and friends hold him up high in this difficult time.  We are so glad that Bubba & Marti, who are very close friends were able to go and be with him through this time. Flowers were sent on behalf of their pier six family.
