Background

My name is Ashley Strader. I will be teaching NIP 120, Maternal Child Nursing Care in the Nursing Integrated Program in the Spring 2008. I graduated from Madisonville Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing in December 1997. I completed my BSN in 2004 from Murray State University. I will graduate from Western Kentucky University in May 2008 with a Masters of Science Degree in Nursing with a dual subspecialty in Nursing Education and Family Nurse Practitioner.

My nursing background includes working as a Registered Nurse at Regional Medical Center in the Tender Beginnings Birthplace (OB) for approximately 9 years. I still work as a PRN RN on that unit. I came to Madisonville Community College in the Spring 2005. I have taught Maternal Child Nursing and Introduction to Health Deviations in the Practical Nursing Program.

Professional Organizations: National League for Nursing, Kentucky Association of Career and Technical Education

I reside in Madisonville with my husband, Henry, and two children, Jacob and Marissa. We have another baby in the family, Sadie, our Shih Tzu. Our family attends Christview Fellowship church in Madisonville.
