MCC Muhlenberg Campus Offers EMT Class
Madisonville Community College (MCC) is pleased to announce the offering of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class at the Muhlenberg County Campus during the fall 2012 semester. MCC is also launching the
Paramedic Technology
program. Dr. Deborah Cox, Chief Academic Officer at MCC, explains that “with the decision from the National Registry of Paramedics requiring individuals taking EMT and/or Paramedic registry examinations after January 1, 2013, to be graduates of accredited programs, MCC is pleased to launch the paramedic technology program and to offer the EMT class at the Muhlenberg County Campus.”
The class, FRS 2061 81M1, is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30 starting August 13. Students who successfully pass the class will be eligible to take the Kentucky EMT certification exam. Successful completion of this class is also required for students seeking the paramedic technology certificate or associate in applied science degree option.
The paramedic technology program is one of two new programs offered at MCC during the fall semester. The second is the online
paralegal technology
certificate program that prepares students for entry-level positions in law firms, courts, and a number of other businesses.
For more information on these programs, please contact Penny Jessup, student affairs specialist at the Muhlenberg County Campus in Central City, at (270) 757-9881.
