Classes for Initial Underground (40 hour) and Initial Surface (24 hour) Mine Training are offered on a regular basis in Muhlenberg, Ohio, Webster and Hopkins Counties. Registration is made for either a daytime or an evening class by calling (270) 824-8658, (270) 824-8659 or (270) 824-8689.
Provide proof of either a high school diploma or a GED at the time of registration in order to attend your class choice free. This is a savings of $300 for the Initial Underground Training and $200 for the Initial Surface Training. All participants must take a drug screening prior to the first day of the class at a cost of $74.50 with a money order made payable to KY State Treasurer.
Fax a copy of your high school diploma, GED or transcript to Madisonville Community College at (270) 824-1873 or bring it to the MCC Training Center office, Room 280 in the Brown Badgett Technology Center in Madisonville.
