Nursing Certificates

In addition to the Traditional & Hybrid Integrated Nursing options MCC also offers three additional certifications.

  • Kentucky Medication Aide certificate is a one semester course that is only offered during the summer semester. Students may elect to take the Kentucky Medication Aide exam upon successful completion of the course or after completion of the second semester of the Integrated Nursing Program.

  • Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide certificate is offered in a variety of scheduling formats, including both day and evening classes and hybrid. The class consists of classroom instruction in basic nursing skills (vital signs, bathing, turning, bed making, ambulation, and patient transfer) and clinical rotations (actual hands-on training) under the guidance of an instructor. Upon successful completion of the course, participants can take the Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide Registry Exam.

  • Certified Medical Technician will allow those that hold the certificate the opportunity to enter the healthcare field with a varied technical skill set and in a variety of ways: as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, and/or certified nurse aide.
