Accelerating Opportunity Kentucky (AOKY)

NEED A NEW JOB…AND FAST?

Accelerating Opportunity Kentucky (AOKY) puts students on track to earn college credits and the skills necessary to earn a family sustaining wage or to continue with their educational studies by integrating basic skills (math, ready, and writing assistance) with occupational training and additional instructional support. Students can earn credentials in the colleges selected Accelerating Opportunity Career Pathways while having the support of both a technical instructor and an Adult Education instructor present in the classroom.
At Madisonville Community College, we currently offer two Accelerating Opportunity Career Pathways that lead to one or more entry-level certifications in the various programs listed below. Once you earn the credentials offered in the program, you should be able to get an entry-level job in that field of study.  You can also choose to continue to take classes and earn additional certificates, diplomas and even associates degrees in your field of study which will lead to higher paying jobs and more career advancement opportunities.

Those interested in Accelerating Opportunity Kentucky (AOKY) must take the TABE test at their local Adult Education Center to test for eligibility. If you have previously taken the TABE and your scores are less than six months old, you will not have to retest for eligibility.
