MCC Multicultural Chili Cook-Off

It’s Chili Cook-Off time again and once again a chance to show off your culinary skills. Using your favorite recipe, bring in a pot of chili in either or all categories (hot, medium, or mild) for a chance to win a trophy and great prizes. The Chili Cook-off will be October 31 in Room 162 of the JHG building. To enter your chili in our cook-off, please come by or call Vicki Morris in the Financial Aid Office or email at vicki.morris@kctcs.edu. The cook-off will begin at noon, with judging at 11:00 a.m. on October 31. This year, in addition to prizes for the winning chili recipes, we will have a few door prizes ($40 Hudson gift card, coffee cup from Barnes & Noble, and massage from the Women’s Center just to name a few). You must be present to win a door prize.

The prizes for the winning chili recipes are as follows:

• 1st place – trophy, $40 in chamber checks (which can be used at any merchant who is a member of the Madisonville Chamber of Commerce), DQ ice cream cake, and a Murray State University t-shirt
• 2nd place – $20 Wal-mart gift card and a Murray State University t-shirt
• 3rd place – Coupon for a large Papa John’s pizza and Murray State University t-shirt

Our judges this year are some of our elected Hopkins County Officials. Bring a pot of chili, meet some of Hopkins County’s elected officials, have lunch, and have a great time!
