The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Board of Regents approved five new programs for Madisonville Community College (MCC) during its regularly scheduled meeting on December 7, 2012. New Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree programs are:
Human Services, Energy Management, and Healthcare Technology Management will be implemented in the fall 2013 semester. The certificate option of the Paralegal Technology program is currently offered and the AAS degree option will be available beginning in the spring 2013 semester. The Paralegal Technology and the Energy Management programs are completely online programs. The implementation date for the Funeral Services program has yet to be determined.
Also approved were diploma and certificate options for the programs as follows:
Dr. Deborah Cox, MCC’s Chief Academic Officer shared, “These new Associate Degree level programs offer new options to our students and to others who are looking for a new career direction. Madisonville Community College has always worked hard to make certain only high quality, state-of-the-art technical programming is delivered to the community. The variety of new technical programs will complement the 20 degrees and 21 certificates that MCC currently offers, allowing us to support a talented workforce ready for a future of high-wage, high-demand employment.”
