Thinking of going back to school to finish your degree but need a little cash to make it happen?


The Felix E. Martin, Jr. Foundation wants to help make your plans for
achieving your associate degree a reality. The Foundation and
Madisonville Community College have joined together to create the
Martin Scholars Program, designed to help adults who have made a
good start on their associate degree, but for whatever reason, haven't
had the chance to finish.

Who is eligible for Martin Scholars?

Any full-time residents of Muhlenberg County who:

  • is age 22 and older who
  • has not earned a college degree
  • has successfully completed at least 30 credit hours of college-level coursework from any regionally accredited Kentucky college or university
  • was not enrolled in any college classes during the previous semester.

About Martin Scholars

Students accepted in the program will receive a $250 cash stipend each semester they make satisfactory progress toward a degree at Madisonville Community College. Students may use the funds to offset any cost you may encounter while finishing your degree: books, supplies, transportation, child care, etc.

In addition, each Martin Scholar will receive a $400 bonus when they complete their degree at MCC!
